Hubungan Antara Karakteristik Petani dengan Tingkat Motivasi Petani dalam Budidaya Padi Sehat di Kecamatan Polanharjo Kabupaten Klaten

Healthy rice cultivation is one of the breakthroughs in environmentally friendly and sustainable agriculture. The low motivation of farmers to cultivate healthy rice is inseparable from various factors that influence the level of farmer motivation in adopting agricultural innovations. This study aims to analyze the level of farmer motivation in cultivating healthy rice in Polanharjo District, Klaten Regency, measure the level of farmer motivation in cultivating healthy rice in Polanharjo District, Klaten Regency; analyze the relationship between farmer characteristics and the level of farmer motivation in cultivating healthy rice in Polanahrjo District, Klaten Regency. The study used a quantitative method with survey techniques and using questionnaires. The location was determined purposively in Polanharjo District. The research sample consisted of 87 respondents selected by random sampling. Data collection methods were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used the Spearman rank test. The results showed that the level of farmer motivation in cultivating healthy rice was high. There was a significant relationship between formal education, non-formal education, land area, farming experience, and farmer group activity with the level of farmer motivation, while age and land ownership status were not significantly related to the level of farmer motivation. Improving extension and strengthening the capacity of Farmer Groups as learning institutions and involving young farmers in marketing healthy rice products through online media platforms.
