Persepsi Guru dan Siswa terhadap Pelaksanaan Layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling Di SMK PGRI 1 Karawang

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perceptions of teachers and students toward the implementation of Guidance and Counseling (BK) services at SMK PGRI 1 Karawang. The research was conducted to explore the alignment between the ideal concept of guidance and counseling as a developmental and supportive service, and its actual practice in vocational schools. Using a qualitative method, data were collected through observation and semi-structured interviews with BK teachers and students. The findings reveal that the BK program at SMK PGRI 1 Karawang has been implemented systematically in accordance with the semester work plan, focusing not only on academic but also on moral and character development through a religious-based approach. Teachers perceive the program as effective and comprehensive, while students tend to view it merely as a disciplinary function rather than a means of personal growth and consultation. The lack of program socialization and follow-up activities causes students to experience limited benefits from BK services. The study concludes that although BK implementation has shown collaborative and religious characteristics, its effectiveness needs to be improved through better communication, innovative approaches, and integration of digital media to make it more relevant and engaging for students.
